Attulaio
Set in a scenic position overlooking the Mugello valley and protected
by the Apennine mountains rising behind it, Attulaio is surrounded
by oak and chestnut woods interspersed with patches of farmed land,
olive groves and vegetable gardens.
In the old farmhouse, finely restored to enhance its original character
typical of the Mugello hills, Rosanna, Paolo, Giacomo and Nicola
give guests their warm welcome in three apartments sleeping 8 people.
Farm accommodation
The tourist accommodation units, one of them sleeping 2 and two
others sleeping 3 guests each, were restored so as to offer visitors
all possible modern amenities, and Rosanna furnished them in a simple
yet comfortable way, trying to use as much as possible the same
(but carefully refurbished!) old rustic furniture which has served
these very rooms since time immemorial.
Your stay at Attulaio will be all the more unforgettable for the
warmth of our fireplace and the panoramic views over the surrounding
valleys and hills, with memorable sunsets.

Services
Attulaio is the perfect choice if you wish to spend a relaxing holiday
away from the noise and frantic pace of modern cities, both with
or without the company of a party of friends and both indoors and
out of doors. Upon request we arrange painting and cooking classes,
while outdoor enthusiasts will have plenty of opportunities to explore
on foot or by bike the many paths crossing the woods and countryside
in the area.

The farm
Attulaio's farming activity specializes in the famous PGI chestnut
variety of the Mugello area, and our chestnut trees grow at about
600 metres above sea level. We also produce fresh eggs, excellent
potatoes, fine olive oil, vegetables and fruit.
The woods also yield delicious soft fruit (especially wild strawberries
and blackberries) and mushrooms.
Where we are
Attulaio is just 8 km from Vicchio di Mugello, an ancient town protected
by 14th century walls, where such great artists as Giotto and Beato
Angelico were born. With its lush countryside of forests, green
valleys and agricultural crops thriving thanks to an excellent climate,
Mugello is one of the most beautiful areas to visit in the surroundings
of Florence, which is just a 50 minutes' drive (or 1 hour's train
ride) away.
